Dental Services
2,124 dental procedures were performed in 2007.
¡Salud! offers comprehensive dental care to workers and their families through a partnership with Medical Teams International. ¡Salud! contracts with Medical Teams International to provide volunteer dentists and hygienists and a fully equipped dental van. ¡Salud! schedules the patients and then assists them with accessing additional care when more extensive or specialized treatment is necessary. These clinics are held in varying locations convenient to the workers. In 2007, 18 mobile clinics were held.
Additional services are provided by the community health centers and private providers. This three-pronged approach has provided us with a strong dental program.
