Occupational Health Program
¡Salud! assists vineyards and wineries maintain a safe work environment with the following services:
- Employee safety education
- Worker protection standard for agricultural pesticides
- CPR and first aid training
- Back safety/agricultural ergonomic training
- Respiratory protection
In partnership with the Center for Research on Occupation and Environmental Toxicology (CROET) at Oregon Health Sciences University, ¡Salud! is working on a project to educate Spanish-speaking vineyard workers on several safety education components through the use of an easy-to-use electronic keyboard. The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health is funding the project. ¡Salud! and area vineyards are key partners in this research project and ¡Salud! receives funding to cover expenses for participation.
