Wine Notes:
This wine comes from fruit from one of the Willamette Valley’s most heralded and prized vineyards, Freedom Hill. It is from a single block of Dijon 115 planted in 2001 and has been the source of our some of our best bottlings of Pinot Noir, the Perspicacious Cuvee, on two different occasions. The wine was fermented with 100% whole clusters to maximize the site’s characteristics, notably depth and tannic structure, to be the defining aspect of this wine.
Aging:
This wine is being sourced from the heart of a single barrel. This is a new barrel from a cooperage called Cadus and, notably, this particular barrel is their Pur Proces coopering which is the highest end barrel they produce.
