We reached back into the library for this year’s ¡Salud! offering. Our 12-bottle case contains a vertical of The Reserve Pinot Noir from 2010–2015. The Reserve is our top wine from the vintage — A barrel selection from the vintage, produced in very limited quantities.
The Continuation of Terroir by Other Means. We use 100% Amalie Robert Estate grown fruit for all of our wines. We hand harvest at the peak for aroma and flavor maturity.
Fermentation is carried out in small 1.5 ton fermenters using whole clusters and indigenous yeast. All our Pinot Noirs are bottled unfined and unfiltered.
• The 2010 and 2011 vintages represent classic cool climate Oregon wine that helped establish the Willamette Valley as a premier Pinot Noir producing region.
• The 2012 and 2013 vintages offered moderate growing conditions, representing the “middle seat” of our ¡Salud! offering. A little typhoon drama in 2013, but nothing we couldn’t handle.
• The 2014 and 2015 vintages brought the heat to the Willamette Valley. While all Willamette Valley vintages are grower’s vintages, these vintages experienced warmer growing conditions than most.
Below ground aging cellar with natural temperature and humidity control. Our wines spend 18 to 20 months maturing in barrel without racking.
