Abbey Oaks Vineyard is the only Domaine Serene vineyard located in the Yamhill-Carlton AVA and consists of sedimentary soils of the Willakenzie series. Abbey Oaks ranges from 220 to 320 feet in elevation and is planted to a complex array of clones on a well-exposed south-facing slope. This unique combination of clones, elevation, soils and sun exposure ensures consistent ripeness and depth of fruit-driven flavors in the wine year after year.
This wine shows depth and concentration. On the nose, deep layers of fresh blueberries, marionberries and huckleberries, with a hint of vanilla and hazelnut, are met with a palate filled with dark fruit and beautiful acid stability. The velvety smooth mouthfeel structured by mineral undertones delivers a rich and textured finish.
