As we neared Elk Cove’s 50th anniversary of winegrowing, our oldest vines were given the name “Founders’ Block.” Planted in 1974 by Elk Cove Co-Founders Pat and Joe Campbell, these mossy, gnarled old vines bestow great depth of character to small lots of Pinot Noir. For this ¡Salud! Cuvée, second-generation Owner/Winemaker Adam Campbell brought additional intensity by blending in select fruit from our esteemed Roosevelt Vineyard.
