2022 Vintners Circle
Ken Wright Cellars
2021 ¡Salud! Cuvée Pinot Noir
Four 12-Bottle Cases | Sold By The Case | $800 Starting Bid
Vineyard:
Carter Vineyard, 325 feet elevation, south-southwest facing slope in Eola-Amity Hills AVA
Wine Notes:
Carter was originally planted in 1983. Ken has been working with the site since 1989. We began farming Carter in 1999 and eventually purchased the site in 2013. While most of the vineyard has been replanted due to phylloxera, we still have a single block of own-rooted Pommard Pinot noir which is part of that original planting. We cherish this block and the depth and complexity that is only achieved from old, deeply rooted vines. Ken Wright Cellars has been deeply rooted in ¡Salud! since its beginning in 1991. We are excited to be offering our 2021 Carter Vineyard Pommard Pinot Noir for this year’s auction.
Aging:
For proper aging, we recommend cellaring at a constant 55-degree temperature, 70% humidity, no vibration, and a dark environment. For those who enjoy a fresh, vibrant fruit profile enjoy within 2-5 years, for those who prefer a mature pinot with more secondary aromatics, enjoy between 6-15 years.
