Winemaker Notes:
2014 was the first warm vintage in a string of warm vintages. We were prepared to manage each site to be sure we allowed the fruit to fully mature and not be surprised by high sugars and low acids. Because we were willing to take steps early in the vintage before we truly knew what the vintage was going to bring to us, we were able to craft balanced and generous wines.
For our ¡Salud! blends we enjoy unique wines – we love the spicy structure that comes from our Estate Vineyard, but the silky mouth feel from Bella Vida Vineyard is a hallmark of vineyards in the Dundee Hills. Blending the two vineyards gave us a bold wine with gracefulness. – Lynn Penner-Ash, Founding Winemaker
I am impressed by how youthful our 2014 Estate Vineyard Pinot Noir is! It was a warm year, so there’s a lot of dark fruit, structured tannin and sweetness. The aromatics are vibrant and fruit forward. – Kate Ayres, Winemaker
