One 12-bottle case of 2020 Rain Dance Vineyards ¡Salud! Cuvée Pinot Noir.
Despite the challenges that were presented to us, 2020 was an excellent vintage.
During bloom, we encountered a pocket of cool and wet weather which ultimately led to a smaller yielding vintage. However, these events also translated to smaller more open clusters that were very concentrated and in turn made for wines with outstanding flavor, moderate to low alcohols, and vibrant acidity. These wines should age beautifully for many years to come.
Winemaking Philosophy:
Rain Dance Vineyards are dry farmed sustainably using top vineyard practices such as multiple thinning passes to ensure low yields, careful attention to cover cropping, and balanced pruning.
Vine by vine composting is one particularly unique approach used to accommodate the owner ‘s 2019s insistence on native tree preservation. Our attentive farming, and balanced cover cropping strategies are integral to keeping the canopy balanced.
Gentle winemaking with delicate precision. Our grapes are triple hand-sorted, paying close attention to every detail.
Aging:
Our 2020 ¡Salud! Cuvée has been delicately aged in a blend of new and neutral French oak. The wine is showing great richness and development early on with alcohol being moderate and acids being vibrant. Our 2020 ¡Salud! Cuvée Pinot Noir is displaying beautiful color, and even as a young wine, is exhibiting a rich elegance that aligns with a vintage that should be a great one to cellar age for years to come.
